Most of us start our day with that humble slice of cash
inside the refrigerator! But very few know that apart from the traditional
sandwiches, bread can be made into a variety of forms. From being the daily
lunchbox dilemma resolver to the final meal companion, let us find out how this
everyday family item can be moulded into mouth-watering and easy to build
dishes.
1. Bread Upma
Feeling famished in the evening, and do not plan to miss
your dinner? Too lazy to go out and grab a quick bite? Well, try this easy to
make yet delicious recipe made out of bread in no time! All you need is a
little over 15 minutes and the following ingredients:Ingredients: (Measuring
cup used, 1 cup = 250 ML)5-6 bread slices2 tbsp Oil and basic spices (Salt,
Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Pinch of Hing)1 tbsp finely chopped
ginger Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds 6 to 7Kadi Patta & Coriander Leaves2
medium-sized tomatoes,1 average sized Onions,1 green chilly Method: Chop the
bread slices in cubes.Heat 2 tablespoons of oil, and add 1 tablespoons mustard
seeds and cumin seeds.Add 2 green chilli, 1 tablespoons chop ginger and 6-7
curry leaves.Add ½ cup of onion and stir it on a low to medium flame, until
they turn translucent.Add ½ cup finely chopped tomatoes and all the basic
spices to taste.Stir and Saute the Onion-Tomato-Spices mixture till the
tomatoes soften, and you can make out the oil getting released from the tomatoes.Add
the bread cubes and saute them for 4 to 5 minutes till they become slightly
crisp from the edges.Add 1 tbsp of chop coriander leaves.Mix and dole out hot
bread upma for a tasty evening snack.

Method:
Chop the currency slices in cubes.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil, and add 1 tablespoons mustard seed
and cumin seeds.
Add 2 green chilli, 1 tablespoons chopped ginger and 6-7
curry vegetation.
Add ½ cup of onion and stir it on a low to medium flame,
until they turn transparent.
Add ½ cup finely chopped tomatoes and all the basic spices
to taste.
Stir and Saute the Onion-Tomato-Spices mixture till the
tomatoes alleviate and you can see the oil receiving released from the
tomatoes.
Add the bread cubes and saute them for 4 to 5 action till
they become slightly crisp from the edges.
Add 1 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
Mix and serve hot currency upma for a tasty evening snack.
2. Bread Dahi Vada
We all love that road side Dahi vada, don’t we? This time,
let us give an innovative twist to our favorite chaat, and make it out of bread
crumbs and hut cheese. Find out how.Ingredients:10 bread slices. Mashed
paneer.250 gm curd.Oil to fry and basic spices. (Red chilly powder, amchoor
powder, salt, cumin powder and black pepper)1 tablespoon anardana Chopped mint
& coriander leavesMethod:Remove the brown portion from all slices and soak
these in water and grasp. Then mix mashed paneer in soaked bread slice. Add a
pinch of salt and amchoor.Make small-sized balls, flatten and deep fry till
light brown.Remove from oil and soak in warm water for 10 minutes.Squeeze and
keep aside.Beat the curd Add salt and chilli powder.Pour over the vadas and beautify

Mashed paneer.
250 gm curd.

1 tablespoon anardana

Method:
Remove the russet portion from all slices and soak these in irrigate
and squeeze.
Then unite mashed paneer in soaked bread slices.
Add a pinch of salt and amchoor.
Make small-sized balls, level and deep fry till light brown.
get rid of from oil and soak in warm water for 10 minutes.
Squeeze and keep aside.
Beat the curd Add salt and chilli powder.
dispense over the vadas and decorate with mint, jeera
powder, anardana, and coriander leaves.
3. Bread Sushi
ditch the traditional sushi, and try this easy to make
sandwich sushi at home. When you cannot find the expensive ingredient to make
your sushi, try single with bread!Ingredients:8 slices of white bread4 large
sushi sheets3 eggs6 imitation crab meat stick1 zucchini5 tbsp
mayonnaiseMethod:Prepare the white bread by remove the outer layer.Use a
rolling stick and flatted the bread, about 1 mm in thickness.Measure the size
of the bread and cut out the sushi sheet- Four bread per sheet.Slice the
zucchini into a long strip, set aside.Beat 3 eggs in a bowl, stir well and
fried.Cut into slices Fried imitation crab meat, cut into 4 slices.Place the
sushi under bread.Start to assemble the zuchinni slice, egg slice and crab meat
slice by putting these on top of bread.Smear some mayonnaise sauce at the end
of the bread and start rising and falling the bread.Use a plastic enfold to

roasted bread.Grind almond, cashew and cardamom first to a powder.Then add
little water to make it as a paste. Add this paste to the cooked bread and the
2 tblsp ghee.Keep mixing mashing it well until oil oozes out.If you want, you
can fry few cashew and badam in ghee and add to the halwa.

tablespoons fresh chopped basil2 cups cherry tomatoes1 french baguette
loafMethod:Pour the balsamic vinegar into a small saucepan, and heat over low
to medium heat until it comes to a slow boil.Allow to simmer for about 8-10
minutes.The vinegar will thicken while it cooks. Once the quantity that is in
the pan reduces by about half, turn the heat off.Pour the vinegar into a bowl
to allow to cool.As the vinegar cools it will thicken more and become a
glaze.Chop the fresh mozzarella.Cut the tomatoes in half or thirds to desired
size.Roll the basil to chop into fine flooring. Combine the mozzarella,
tomatoes, and basil together and gently stir to mix.Slice the baguette into
desired slice size.You can toast the baguette if desired, or serve
un-toasted.To toast preheat the oven to 400 degree. Cover a cookie sheet with
foil.Lay the slices down on the foil and cover with butter or olive oil.Bake
for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.Serve with the bruschetta on top of the
baguette and a balsamic glaze drizzle on top.

You can toast the baguette if desired, or serve un-toasted.
To toast preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

oil.
Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.

loaf of bread, (5 cups of bread cubes)2 Tbsp unsalted butter2 Tbsp Extra Virgin
Olive Oil2 medium garlic cloves, pressed1 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped,
or 1 tsp dried parsley1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepperMethod:
In a small sauce pan, combine 2 Tbsp butter, 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 2
pressed garlic cloves, 1 Tbsp chopped parsley, ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper.Heat
over middle heat until butter is melted.Stir to combine then set aside and let
the flavors infuse into the oil while you chop your currency. Cut your bread
into ¾" cubes.Meanwhile have an even coating of oil.Spread the bread in a
single layer on a baking sheet and bake at 375˚F for 20 minutes until they are
golden brown and crunchy.Serve these up with your favorite green salad. Did you

extra virgin olive oil, 2 pressed garlic cloves, 1 Tbsp chopped parsley, ¼ tsp
salt and ¼ tsp intersperse.
Heat over medium heat until butter is melted.
Stir to combine then set aside and let the flavor infuse
into the oil while you chop your bread.
Cut your bread into ¾" cubes.
Meanwhile have an even coating of oil.

Ingredients:8 ounces of raw macaroni2 cups of shredded
cheese3 cups milk ¼ cup butter ½ cup cheese 2 ½ tbsps all purpose flour ½ cup
breadcrumbs1 pinch paprikaMethod: Cook macaroni in a saucepan, melt butter or
margarine over medium heat.Stir in enough flour to make a roux.Add milk to roux
slowly, stirring constantly.Stir in cheeses, and cook over low heat until
cheese is melted and the sauce is a little thick.Put macaroni in large
casserole dish, and pour pulp over macaroni. Stir well. Melt butter or butter
in a skillet over medium heat.Add breadcrumbs and brown.Spread over the
macaroni and cheese to cover.Sprinkle with a little paprika.Bake at 350 degrees
F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes and serve. Ingredients:

Stir in enough flour to make a roux.
Add milk to roux slowly, stirring continuously.
Stir in cheeses, and cook over low heat until cheese is
melted and the sauce is a little thick.
Put macaroni in large casserole dish, and pour sauce over
macaroni.
Stir well. Melt fat or margarine in a skillet over medium
heat.
Add breadcrumbs and brown.
Spread over the macaroni and cheese to cover.
Sprinkle with a little paprika.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 record and
serve.
8. Tadka Bread Snack
Twenty notes, bread slices and a few simple ingredients is
all you need to make a heart-warming snack.Ingredients: 2 Tbsp vegetable or
olive oil1/4 tsp mustard seeds1 onion, peeled and chopped2 green chillies,
seeded and chopped1/4 tsp turmeric,1/4 tsp salt & 1/2 tsp sugar1/4 tsp
ground cumin1 tbsp yogurt1 tbsp lemon juice4 slices bread, cubed Fresh
coriander leaves, to garnish1 tomato, choppedMethod:Heat the oil in a small
saucepan, then add the mustard seeds.Once they have popped, tip in the onion and
chillies and stir for a minute.Then add the turmeric, sugar, cumin and salt and
continue to fry for 1 minute.Pour in the yogurt and lemon juice, rousing
continuously.Lastly, fold in the bread carefully so that it doesn't crumble too
much.Cook for 2 more minutes, then serve sprinkled with coriander and chopped
tomato.
